I am very excited to be a Linn-Mar cheerleading coach for the 2018-2019 school year I will be coaching varsity/sophomore football, competition, and wrestling cheerleading.

Personal: I am a mom that loves taking care of my three children, Jacob, Addison, and Aiden. I am also a Realtor at Iowa Realty. My husband, Jon and I have been married for 12 years. I graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelors degree in accounting. I love spending time outside with my kids and watching a variety of sports with my husband.

Experience: I was a 4 year cheerleader at Linn-Mar, cheering for football, wrestling, and competition. In college I did open room stunting at the University of Iowa. I took gymnastics for 8 years and I taught gymnastics through high school and college at Twisters and The Iowa GymNest. While in college I also taught gymnastics and flexibility to an elite wrestling club. After college I moved to North Carolina and coached PopWarner football and competition cheerleading. In 2007, while my husband was deployed to Iraq, I was a volunteer with the Linn-Mar Cheerleading program. I started coaching cheerleading at Linn-Mar in 2010.
I am on the Iowa Cheerleading Coaches Association Board and am currently the rules interpreter for Iowa.

I will be coaching the cheerleading squads for freshman football, and freshman/sophomore/varsity basketball.

Personal: I am a science teacher at Linn-Mar High School. I have had the pleasure of teaching Biology, Earth Science, General Chemistry, Chem1, and Bioethics during my years at LMS. My husband, Ben and I have been married for almost 7 1/2 years and the proud parents of our 6 year old, Darby and 2 year old Oliver. I graduated from Luther College with my bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology, worked at the University of Iowa in their Psychiatry department doing genetics research on autism and schizophrenia, and recently returned to receive my Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Science Education for the University of Iowa.

Experience: I started cheerleading in 1990 for the Metro Youth Football games, and continued cheering while at Taft MS through my early years at Jefferson HS. In addition I participated in and instructed dance classes at Cherie's Dance Studio from 1983-1995. This will be my ninth year of cheer coaching at LMS. I cannot wait for the new season to begin and to continue to help these young individuals strengthen their skills, develop new stunting and cheer techniques, and support all of our high school athletes!
